Wolmanized® CCA Heavy Duty™ wood is timbers, posts, or plywood that is pressure treated with CCA preservative to provide protection from termites and fungal decay. The chemical used to preserve Wolmanized Heavy Duty pressure treated wood is a mixture of the oxides of copper, chromium, and arsenate known as CCA. Learn more about CCA. Specify Wolmanized Heavy Duty wood for applications in which conditions conducive to termites and fungal decay are present. This includes wood that will be in contact with water, soil, concrete or masonry, subject to periodic wetting, or exposed to moisture or high humidity. Recommended Hardware Fasteners should be corrosion-resistant, such as: hot-dipped galvanized, copper, silicon bronze, stainless steel 304 and 316 or other metals having corrosion resistance equal to that of hot-dipped galvanized. Aluminum is subject to corrosion and should not be used in direct contact with CCA treated wood.
